I have used many different modeling software over the years but have settled on Solid Edge as my primary toolset because of the Synchronous Technology that they offer. I have an extensive background in mechanical & machine design working in mostly oil & gas for nearly 30 years. I have also built a large library of piping components with a unique numbering system that describes the part.
